Technical Rescue (Confined Space) Training & Certification

Synopsis:

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Regional Contracting Office (RCO), Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan (MCASI) in support of the Fire Department.

Objective:

This RFI is only for identifying potential sources as part of the RCO's market research to determine the industry's capability to provide a technical rescue (confined space) training & certificate. A copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) is included as part of this RFI for reference to this RFI and market research purpose.

Note:

This RFI is solely for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a request for quotation or request for proposal, and should not be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government to acquire any products or services.  No award will be made as a result of this RFI. 

All responses to this RFI will be treated as information only. All questions must be submitted via email to Naoko Nitta at naoko.nitta.ja@usmc.mil and Hiroyuki Takeda at hiroyuki.takeda.ja@usmc.mil no later than 8 Jul 2024, 3:00 PM (Japan Standard Time).

The MCASI RCO will not reimburse all expenses associated with the development, and submission of materials in response to this RFI or use of such information.

The information provided may be used by the RCO to develop and/or enhance its acquisition strategy, statement of work, and performance work statement. 

Any information that the Respondent considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned, including any proprietary information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input resulting from this market survey.

The purpose of publicizing this notice of potential actions is to increase competition and broaden industry participation in meeting Government requirements.

Request for Capabilities Statements:

Each response shall include a cover page. The cover page, at a minimum, shall include:

  • The company name.
  • Address.
  • Points of contact (name(s), email address(es), telephone number(s), Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, SAM UEI, and Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code.

Each response must not exceed 10 pages with a Times New Roman, 12-point font with at least Top, Bottom, Left, and Right - 1" margins. Each page of the package should be printable on 8 ½" x 11" paper.

Submission of Information:

Capabilities packages should be completed and submitted no later than 10 Jul 2024 by 3:00 PM Japan Standard Time (JST). Responses can be submitted via email to Naoko Nitta at naoko.nitta.ja@usmc.mil and Hiroyuki Takeda at hiroyuki.takeda.ja@usmc.mil. No telephone responses will be accepted.

 Any attachments with files ending in .zip or .exe are not allowable and will be deleted. Please ensure only PDF, Word, and Excel documents are attached to your email.
