INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE GENERAL INFORMATION Department of Veteran Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 4811 Airport Plaza Drive Suite 600 Long Beach, CA 90815 Attn: Barry Bland (858) 626-8744 Intent to Sole Source: The Government intends to make a sole award firm-fixed-price contract per Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-2 Only One Source in conjunction with FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The requirement is for professional Hospital laundry services for Environmental Management Service, Phoenix VA Health Care System, and Prescott VA Health Care System. The contractor will process all items per state, local, and federal regulations and under the terms and conditions of the contract. Site: Phoenix VA (5 days a week service) Phoenix VA Health Care System - 650 E. Indian School Rd. | Phoenix, AZ 85012. Site: Prescott VA (Any Services for Prescott VA will go through Phoenix for transportation) Northern Arizona VA Health Care System 500 Hwy 89N | Prescott, AZ 86313. The work required is furnishing the Phoenix VA and Prescott VA with Emergency Laundry Services, including but not limited to collecting from Phoenix VA Laundry, laundering, drying, folding (finish work), and returning VA linens. All labor, supervision, management, management support, general supplies, ancillary equipment, vehicles, and materials necessary for accomplishment of emergency laundry/linen services. Services will entail professional soil sorting, washing, processing, folding, and packaging of customer linens and customer-owned specialty items, including Employee Uniforms and Scrubs if needed. Also included will be inventory control, quality control, and linen loss. The intended source is Phenix VA Healthcare Systems. Following FAR Part 6, contracts awarded using this authority shall be supported by a written justification and approval described in FAR 6.303 and 6.304; as applicable, the contracting office shall post the justification within fourteen (14) days after the contract award. The Government will consider all capability statements received by this synopsis's closing date. The Government's determination not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion. Information received will be considered strictly to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this work falls under is 812320 Drycleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin Operated), with a size standard of $8.0 million.  THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. All capable sources must provide past performance experience in similar services and be licensed providers (whichever applies to the requirement). All vendors must be registered in Beta. SAM by the close of this notice, and if your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned or Veteran-Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetCert (see internet site: Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov.)). The vendor must provide proof of licenses and supporting evidence. The vendor shall include all the above information in the vendor's capability in response to this notice.
