The 18th Civil Engineer Group (18 CES/CEF), Kadena Air Base, had identified a need for a maintenance system for NOVEC 1230 flightline extinguishers. The NOVEC 1230 flightline fire extinguishers are required to be serviced every six years to be compliant with NFPA 408, standards for aircraft hand portable fire extinguishers.
