Page 2 of 2 Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to award a sole source award to Siemens Medical Solutions USA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source, as no other supplies will satisfy the Agency s requirement. The proposed procurement is to deinstall, remove and scrap the Siemens Luminos DRF located in the Radiology Service of the Orlando VA Medical Center at Lake Baldwin. This service requires specialized training and safety equipment, service shall include a field service expert to arrive on-site with the appropriate tools in order to remove the X-ray device and then pack the remaining parts onto pallet(s). The VA s warehouse and Logistic team will collect the pallet(s)and complete disposal of the equipment. The contractor will provide a field service report to the COR no later than 10 days after the removal is completed. The NAICS code is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a size standard of $34.0M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued. However, interested sources may submit a capability statement to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 2:00pm EST on December 5, 2023. Responses will only be accepted via email to Victoria.robles@va.gov using the following title in the email s subject line: 36C24824Q0184 Siemens X-ray Machine Deinstallation Service. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice.
