The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Sacramento District (SPK) anticipates solicitation of a requirement for design-bid-build (DBB) construction services to be performed in support of the U.S. Forest Service to construct a new Visitor?s Center for Lake Isabella. The project will include construction of a new building of approximately 1,500 square feet. The building will include an area for the public with a handicap accessible single restroom, and an additional restroom, office areas, storage, and kitchenette for employees. A communications room, mechanical room, and electrical room will all be accessible from the exterior of the building. The previous building has been demolished, but additional demolition to remove concrete will be required. A new parking lot will be constructed with parking for 18 personal vehicles, 2 electric vehicles (with charging stations) and 6 recreational vehicles. The scope includes significant landscaping requirements, including planting, irrigation, and erosion control. The Government anticipates construction work will begin in October 2024 and the period of performance is 365 days. There are no seasonal restrictions, but the hours of work are limited to eight and one-half hours daily, Monday ? Friday. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204(f), the magnitude of construction is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. This solicitation is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) that will result in award of a firm-fixed price contract. The solicitation NAICS is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $45,000,000 annual revenue. The Product and Service Code (PSC) is Y1AZ, Construction of Other Administrative Facilities and Service Buildings. The solicitation is a Total Small Business set-aside through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE - https://piee.eb.mil) and Governmentwide Point of Entry, the System for Award Management (SAM - www.SAM.gov) on 14 August 2024 with bids due on 16 September 2024.
