Request for Information (RFI)/Market Research Notice
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY – This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. Responses will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Solicitations are not available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. The Government is not committed to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of this announcement. This RFI is for the following service:
Noun: ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY SAMPLING AND LABORATORY ANALYTIC SERVICES
At Osan Air Base
Proposed PSC: F999 Other Environmental Services
Proposed NAICS Code: 541380 (testing Laboratory Services)
Background: The Government is seeking to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the local Korean business community. The Government is considering vendors to provide a service which will be environmental quality (EQ) sampling and laboratory analytical support at Osan Air Base.
Understand that much of the information necessary to provide fully accurate answers to the questions below is unavailable due to not knowing the exact requirement that may arise with each request. This market research request is simply to identify a capable vendor base and aid the Government in determining how much support can be provided from the local industry with respect to the types of material handling equipment available, how much can be requested at one time, and how long it would take for a vendor to mobilize in support of a request. If your company is interested and can demonstrate your firm’s ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the services summarized above, we encourage you to respond to this announcement with a statement of your qualifications and capability. Respondents shall not be obligated to provide the services described herein and it is understood by the United States Government that if any price estimates are provided as a result of this request, they are “best” estimates only. All interested vendors may respond to this request for information. Again, this information is being requested for Government planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. This is not a request for proposals. The Government will not award a contract based upon responses to this announcement. The Government shall not reimburse or pay any costs for preparing or submitting information in response to this notice.
