APE Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using APE (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2. Description of the Service
APE is a workflow automation platform that allows users to build custom document‑processing pipelines using modular nodes such as Upload, Parse, Extract, Validate, Summarize, Output, and optional integrations including MCP models, vector databases, and Google Drive API.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring the legality of the data you upload
- Securing your API keys, credentials, and external integrations
- Configuring workflows in compliance with applicable laws
- Maintaining backups of your data and workflow configurations
You must not use APE to process illegal content or violate intellectual property rights.
4. External Integrations
APE allows users to connect external services. You acknowledge that:
- Google API usage is governed by Google’s own terms
- Vector DB operations (e.g., OpenAI embeddings) follow the provider’s policies
- MCP‑connected models operate under their respective terms
APE is not responsible for data handling performed by external services.
5. Data Processing & Storage
APE processes data only for workflow execution. You control what data is uploaded, parsed, extracted, validated, summarized, or exported. Data retention depends on your configuration; you may delete workflow data at any time.
6. API Keys & Credentials
You may connect your own Google API keys, vector DB credentials, or MCP model tokens. You retain full ownership and control over these credentials. APE does not share or resell your keys.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Interfere with the platform’s operation
- Attempt unauthorized access
- Use APE for harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activities
- Reverse‑engineer or copy proprietary components of the Service
8. Intellectual Property
All APE platform components, branding, UI, and workflow engine logic are owned by the Service provider. You retain ownership of your documents, workflows, and data outputs.
9. Service Availability
APE may update, modify, or suspend parts of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, especially during MVP development.
10. Limitation of Liability
APE is provided “as is” without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Data loss caused by user misconfiguration
- Issues arising from external integrations
- Damages resulting from workflow logic created by the user
Your use of external APIs and vector DBs is at your own risk.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your data.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of APE after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact the operator of your APE deployment.
